TI
TI: Shortage demand starts to ease
For TI, the whole demand of TI is a little weak, expect for some automotive TI chips which are still very short with high price. Most of the TI parts demand is declining, price is also going back to normal. For common part which customer is not urgent to use, they would rather wait for normal lead time. Hence it is harder to approve for the premium resulting lesser order than before. TLV, TPS series supply is better now, but MPS, TMS320 series are still in tight market.
STM
ST: Overall demand is still not high, mainly on automotive parts
The overall demand for STM this month is still not high, focusing on automovie materials. This part of the demand is large but currently difficult to find; Nowadays, customers are becoming increasingly sensitive to price, and they will compare prices multiple times to see if the subsequent price trend will fall back. We understand that suppliers have some inventory on offer, and if they have advantageous material numbers, they can also communicate with us as much as possible.
QUALCOMM
Qualcomm: Demand remains weak
Qualcomm demand is still very weak, the customer continues to wait and see. AR8035-AL1A-R has many inquiries this month, but the client still can’t accept the price difference, and the order rate is low. Netcom material QCA8337N-AL3B shows continuous shortage, with neither stock from the open market nor distributors. AR8033-AL1B spot release, the price has fallen before, but there is a gap with the book price, the end customer continue to wait and see. The supply of consumer products is saturated, and the current spot is the majority. RF360 RF devices such as B39222B8932P810, Quiksol has better channel support, there is a demand to welcome communication.
NXP
NXP: Continues to see strong demand in automotive
As for its outlook for the automotive market, NXP said much of the chip industry has seen drop in demand and there is an inventory glut, but demand for automotive and industrial chips remains "resilient." NXP is also considering capacity expansion in Texas. The major revenue drivers in NXP's automotive segment are 77Hz millimeter wave radar, power management solutions, inverters and other streetcar controllers. S912ZV, MCF5282 series is still in strong demand, with lesser delivery of those parts, the price is high. S32K series auto universal microcontroller customers need a better price to purchase stock. Among 32 bit MCU, except for the old Freescale MK series, other NXP traditional LPC series delivery has been improved. Our long-term NXP needs, welcome to negotiate.
BROADCOM
Broadcom: Delivery may be shortened in the future
Broadcom distributors and spot brokers are still at a high level stock, demand is still not clear in February. Comparing with the other manufacturers who are starting to shorten the delivery time, Broadcom will also re-evaluate the previous long delivery time. If the delivery time is shortened in the future, it will undoubtedly be effecting the brokers. Since Broadcom's price hasn't plummeted significantly from 20 years to now, the likelihood of a price reduction isn't very likely. In terms of to demand, the recent focus is mainly on the automotive series and some high-end PLX series. Leveraging on the demand for ChatGPT and the advance stocking of a large customer, there will still be some opportunities in the short term.
RENESAS
Renesas: The delivery of conventional materials returns to normal
The overall demand is weaker than last 2 months since March, shortages are mostly on low liquidtity part number, such as the R5Fxx/ISLxx series. There are low demand for Server and Comsumer customers. Generally, customers are no longer in a hurry to bring in stock, they can wait for 3-4 weeks or 12 weeks or even longer lead time. For Renesas' regular part number, the leadtime is getting back to normal which is around 16-24 weeks. The improvement of delivery time leads to high stock level for manufactuer and distirbutors, meanwhile many factories sell their inventories in order to get back funds. Finally, we have a long-term demand for this brand and welcome to contact us.
REALTEK
Realtek: Demand remains weak
Realtek's demand has declined in January. The demand for audio decoding sees significant drop this month, and the demand for Router and Switch has decreased as well this month. The models out of stock this month are ALC888S-VD2-GR, RTL8100CL-LF, RTL8110SCL-GR, RTL8111H-CG , RTL8811CU-CG, ALC662-VD0-GR , RTD2796-CG etc. Customer's demand were mainly on assembling parts this month.
In addition, if you are in need of these, RTL8211FS-CG, RTL8304MB-CG, RTL8309M-CG, RTL8363NB-VB-CG, RTL8211EG-VB-CG, QUIKSOL has better spot-buy resources, welcome to exchange.
MICROCHIP
Micrcohip: The overall delivery time is gradually recovering
The overall demand for Microchip in February and March was weak, the inventory at the FD and the market is sufficient. As a result, the price fell significantly, leaning towards the normal price level. Once popular IC such as the KSZ9031RNXIC, LAN7500, KSZ8721, KSZ8995, and other general materials is slowly meeting customer’s demand. For example, the current price of KSZ9031RNXIC is around 2.Xusd. We see some demand this month for KSZ8999I PIC32MX795F512, and ATXMEGA128 series. In terms of delivery time, the delivery time of the Microchip is also gradually recovering. The delivery time of some general goods is expected to be about 30 weeks, and it is expected to recover to about 18 weeks in the second half of 2023. At present, the demand of the client is less, so we can pay more attention to the information of the PPV deamand, and we can communicate more PPV business opportunities in the future. Quiksol has long-term demand of Microchip, welcome to negotiate.
OMSEMI
ON: Automotive mosfet/transistor demand continues to grow
This month, the price of most models of On Semi gradually declined, but the market demand for automotive semiconductor is still in an increasing trend, image sensors, automotive MOSEFT/transistors are still a big shortage with delivery time more than 50 weeks. The spot market price of MBRS series continues to rise, for instance: MBR0520LT1G and MMBT3906LT1G. Demand for NCV series models has risen sharply, including the popular MPN-NCV7321D12R2G.
INFINEON
Infineon: MCU/IGBT gaining traction in the market
Recently, consumer and industrial customers' demand has been sluggish, and inventory levels are high. However, it is not only MCU products that are relatively hot. With the increase in the use of IGBT for solar inverters and new energy vehicles, and the adjustment of the semiconductor industry structure, IGBT has been quite hot recently. An electric vehicle uses seven to ten times as much IGBT as traditional fuel vehicles. In this situation, some domestic semiconductor manufacturers have entered the market, boosting performance growth. We do have inventories for IRF7341TRRPBF and BTS5045-2EKA. Feel free to contact us if there is any demand.
VISHAY
Vishay: Optical Sensors will be in shortage soon
Vishay Commercial Tantalum and Polymer capacitors' lead time has dropped to a range of 20 to 24 weeks. Vishay's WSLP and WSLF series are approximately at 45 weeks lead time. Commercial Resistors and Thin Film lead time are maintained at 20 to 99 weeks. The lead time for MOSFETs are at about 100 weeks with persistent supply constraints till end 2024. Customers are finding it difficult to allocate inventory and have limited alternative product options. Vishay also announced that the company has upgraded its TSOP2xxx, TSOP4xxx, TSOP57xxx, TSOP6xxx, and TSOP77xxx series infrared (IR) receiver modules for IR remote control applications with a new Cyllene 2 IC . It is anticipated that this change might cause some shortage of optical sensors during the change.
LATTICE
Lattice: Supply of goods has become more stable
Lattice Semiconductor's full year 2022 revenue grew 28% YTY with strong growth in industrial, automotive, communications and computing segments. Of which 51% of the revenue came from Industrial and Automotive segments (a 7 % increased YTY) followed by Communications and Computing at 40% combined. Lattice AvantTM, a new FPGA platform achieved a new heights of power efficiency, advanced connectivity and optimized compute, which suits a wide range of applications. Due to the high demand in 2022, lead times for FPGAs have grown substantially, surpassing 99 weeks. Fortunately, the shortage is starting to improve as supply is becoming more consistent, while production is still striving to meet the backlog of orders.
